At Nebraska Savvy Seniors, we are dedicated to empowering the senior community with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to navigate life’s transitions with confidence and ease. Our mission is to enrich the lives of seniors through expert-led seminars, practical resources, and a vibrant sense of community.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Envision a future where the world moves at an accelerated pace, leaving you struggling to keep up as you age. Amidst the effort to stay well-informed, the constant bombardment of sales pitches, telemarketing calls, advertisements, and upsells can be overwhelming. The quest for reliable unbiased knowledge, untainted by data mining tactics or an onslaught of unwanted emails, seems like an insurmountable challenge.

BUT WHAT IF THERE IS A SOLUTION?

Every month, numerous seniors within our community gather for the Nebraska Savvy Senior Empowerment Seminar Series. Our Free Seminars held monthly are educational seminars, comprising insightful information, is hosted and moderated by Alicia Chrastil and TJ Chrastil, Seniors Real Estate Experts at Nebraska Realty. Offering this series for free, we pledge to provide seniors and their guest with honest, unfiltered insights into various aspects of senior living. The journey of the Nebraska Savvy Seniors Empowerment Seminar is just commencing, and our aspirations are grand. These events, tailored for seniors, come at no cost, as individuals make pivotal life choices and take strides toward an enriched life before, during, and after retirement. Our aim is to stand by them, offering guidance, fostering independence, and ensuring peace of mind.

WHO WE SERVE

These monthly seminars are presented at no charge to senior adults, their companions, and family, and encompass an extensive array of current topics.

Those in attendance primarily consist of retirees, couples, and individuals, alongside a contingent of adult children and caregivers. Every participant will be eligible for an opportunity to win a door prize generously provided by our educational partners.

Host & Founder

Alicia Chrastil

In the heart of Lincoln resides Alicia Chrastil, a genuine and compassionate individual who wears multiple hats with humility. As a realtor, Alicia’s deep-rooted commitment to her community is evident in her roles as a devoted mom, wife, proud grandmother, and the visionary behind the

“Nebraska Savvy Senior Empowerment Series.

” With designations such as CSHP (Certified Senior Housing Professional), MSRP (Master Senior Real Estate Professional), SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), and GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), Alicia’s expertise shines as she guides seniors through life’s transitions. Her lifelong residency in Lincoln, coupled with her genuine desire to empower Nebraska’s seniors, encapsulates her professional goal: to transform overwhelm into overjoy by equipping, educating, and uplifting those embarking on new chapters in life.

Alicia is a licensed REALTOR with Lincoln’s largest real Estate firm Nebraska Realty.

TJ Chrastil

TJ Chrastil was born and raised in the Lincoln area, graduating from Lincoln Southeast High School. He served his country by joining the Army National Guard at the age of 17 and served honorably for 9 years, with one tour to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom II, as a Recovery Vehicle Operator.

After his discharge, TJ became an Investigative Reporter and received multiple awards from the Nebraska Press Association. As a corporate journalist, he travelled throughout the country writing newsletters for our nation’s major railroad companies.

He furthered his skillset and knowledge by completing a five-year apprenticeship with the Steamfitter’s Local Union 464, receiving his Journeyman Steamfitter’s license from the City of Omaha; this taught him to troubleshoot, layout, and weld piping systems for commercial and industrial heating and cooling applications.

TJ’s most important job is that of a father. He has three children; a son and two daughters.

Now, as a second-generation Realtor with Nebraska Realty, TJ brings his knowledge and expertise to the Real Estate field; specializing in helping Veterans use their benefits to find a place they can call home.

Rose Lyle

Passionate about senior advocacy Rose Lyle is devoted to ensuring that older adults have access to the resources and support they need for a fulfilling life.
Rose is dedicated to empowering seniors by providing them with reliable information and services that enhance their well-being.Her passion for working with this community stems from her own experience as a caregiver for her husband, who had dementia. She chose to care for him at home for many years, rather than placing him in a nursing home, and that journey gave her firsthand insight into the challenges and rewards of senior care.I

In the upcoming months, we will persist in providing our in-person monthly seminar series as our primary focus, gradually expanding our range of offered services from there. Below are a few features that have piqued our interest and we aim to offer them if feasible.
